Working in partnership with Arup, we created and delivered an engagement programme to support the development of the first Climate Management Strategy for Queen’s University Belfast.

Shaping a sustainable future through collaborative engagement for Queen’s University Belfast’s first Climate Management Strategy.

The overall objectives were to facilitate conversations across the University community about climate change, to enable the University community to take part in shaping the strategy, to establish a shared vision of a Net Zero Campus, and to embed collective responsibility from the University community to deliver climate action.

The engagement programme included a range of surveys, workshops, and summits with students, staff, suppliers and other stakeholders, together with supporting communications and social media content, and a short film documenting the engagement process and launching the strategy. A costed plan of further creative engagement ideas was also provided, to enable continued collaboration on climate action.

The engagement programme reached over 2000 people including staff, students, alumni and local residents.
