Strategic Masterplan

  • Wexford County Council

  • April 2023 - September 2023

  • €100,000

This ambitious project demanded a strong balance between creativity and technical expertise in order to create a vision that is grounded in context, responds appropriately to the site’s unique heritage and is capable of being brought to life, incorporating energy efficiency retrofitting, sustainable drainage & energy generation.

We led an Integrated Consultant Team of architects, engineers, transport, economics and cost consultants, in the collaborative and coordinated development of the vision. This ensured the delivery of a Strategic Masterplan that was high quality, coherent and holistic in its output and recommendations.

Extensive engagement with local residents and key stakeholders was carried out, including Failte Ireland, Office for Public Works and the Heritage Council. The masterplan included a phasing plan, cost plan, financial and economic assessment and review of funding options, providing the framework for future delivery.

Work completed whilst employed by Urban Scale Interventions.
